New Wolverhampton bus tation work starts Construction work to redevelop Wolverhampton bus station into a new £21m facility has begun, with excavators and munchers demolishing the West Midlands' biggest bus interchange. Construction workers from BAM Construction will soon begin taking up the pavement and removing the lighting columns. A compound will be put up and trial holes will continue to be made to check for any gas, telecommunications, water and electric
services. Pipers Row House, home to retail and business outlets, as well as a bus station
office, will also be taken down during the two month period.
