McGill’s, is to provide extra buses between Inverclyde and Braehead from Monday after existing operator Harte Buses pulled out of the route.
McGill’s is putting on additional journeys on its 907 Cowal Connector Dunoon to Glasgow service which goes via Inverclyde and Braehead. The move is a direct response to a decision by Harte Buses to cancel its Greenock to Braehead service.
Peter Harte of Harte Buses said: “Following a comprehensive review of our operations, we have taken the difficult decision to stop operating our Braehead Express route. Rising fuel and insurance costs means that we can no longer operate this route profitably. From 24 May, we will concentrate our efforts on providing a service six days a week between Largs and Braehead on our new Mann Fastbus vehicle

Re: Scottish; service changes thread:
Blue bus HAS had changes. it seems that the 702 got withdraw and replaced by a new 501 with 2 buses but will still have a the CRAP hour gap: Blackridge - harthill - whitburn - blackburn - Sky - livingston - asda - St johns
YET if there tighten up there up to 20mins SPARE!!! which could let them operate hourly with 20mins breaks every 2 hour for drivers. it does not take 20mins from bus station - st johns,it only takes 8mins! This could ALL CHANGE!
Its a joke, there could kept the 702, and bring in a new 703 every hour between Whitburn - st johns - bus stations, but still have a hour gap. Blackridge - st johns is still done by 800.
Still no idea about the horsbugh 555/777.
