Do not distract the driver!!!

Many of the buses that I drive are not fitted with anti assault screens, which means that passengers can occasionally get a bit close and personal like! Anyway there I am driving along concentrating on what I'm doing. All of a sudden I get this voice in my ear saying "Can you turn the heating down please." It took me by surprise and I nearly jumped out of my skin, making the bus wobble.
The old bloke that did it apologised after nearly giving me a heart attack. Not sure what possessed this idiot to get up and put his fellow passengers at risk by distracting the driver whilst the vehicle is in motion!

Hope you told him you can't control the saloon heating from the cab.

Someone said it as they were getting off. It was like "Could you turn the heating down it's getting a bit warm up there..."

Yep I told him. I also suggested that he could open a window!

Can't please some people, had the aircon on full whack on my coach yesterday... kids come out of the school for me to take them down to a sports place, pop open the emergency roof vents so they fall out of place, even though it was bloody freezing on there.. arrgh!!

with regards to the whole distracting the driver thing, the best thing you could do is slam the brakes on (the old nearly hit a fox / cat routine) anyone at the front is going to lick windscreen for sure.

Nice idea, trouble is it means too much paper work and time spent in the manager's office explaining everything!!

That's the problem! Who wants 'tea & bickie's' in the bosses office for sending some fogie flying? Not me! I don't give a hoot what my garage manager does to me but he badly used & abused & insulted my hero-worshippy son...NOBODY does that & gets away with it!...the les I see of the manager the better for his health!
