Alexander Midi-buses
Apart from the shortened Y-type on, say, an Albion Viking chassis, did Alexander build anything before the ALX200 came on the scene?

Re: Alexander Midi-buses
First Eastern Counties had one Alexander bodied B6 at Ipswich depot. It was totally shagged. The gearbox clunked noisely, it could barely get up hills and it rattled like hell!! Fortunately it vanished after a while.
Re: Alexander Midi-buses
We had some 8.5 metre 33 seat Marshall bodied ones here. Bounced like hell, rattled like hell and two went up in flames!!

Saying that I did like driving the Plaxton Pointer Volvo B6s. They were much more manuvarable than the low floor Darts, espcially round some of the tight spots ther are in Ipswich.
