Bendy-Bus in Brighton
It copes with the corners better than you would think. Interesting to see that the back wheels follow the middle ones, technically gives it ability to take corners like a 10 metre Dart or B6 would be able to.

Bendis are surprisingly manouverable.I think they take corners better than a full size single.

Going by the ones i travel on in Paisley they do take the corners better, especially as the top of New Street were the bus turns into the High Street

There for ever breaking down must cost them a fortune keeping them on the road

They used to say in Leeds, never drive on a route that shares any roads with an FTR (well they actually said "A purple turd!")
Re: Bendy-Bus in Brighton
Didn't one of the Eclipse bodied B7LA's go up in flames at Glasgow too?
I think a B10BLA caught fire in Leeds too...along with about 20 Shitaros in London!

Yes a B10BLA did catch fire in Leeds. Here is a foto of it dumped at Bramley depot.

The Glasgow artics have always puzzled me, especially the ridiculous practice of operating them as single-door buses...it's one hell of a walk if you're sat at the back

Glasgow is one of those places where people are hell bent on scamming systems , a door at the back is a free ride home .madmentalmike wrote:The Glasgow artics have always puzzled me, especially the ridiculous practice of operating them as single-door buses...it's one hell of a walk if you're sat at the back

Same problem in London tbh....
How on earth one person is supposed to monitor three doors and 100+ people beats me!

Re: Bendy-Bus in Brighton
Haven't they boarded over/disabled the buttons on the centre doors in Glasgow?
In London, people are allowed to board through all 3 sets of doors, then supposed to zap their Oyster, not the driver's responsibility at all, no wonder they're losing so much money off them.

Re: Bendy-Bus in Brighton
Arriva serving Scouse bought some ex London Shitaro bendis, and MPTE have banned them from the bus stations already!!!! Declared em too big and unsafe!
Dealers are still struggling to sell the remaining ex London examples. They are only fit for airport lineside/car park shuttles, not stage work.
