leave the comments to you!
This is another reason why I will never work for a big bus company again.

Re: Bus driver refuses to take ramp out.
Well supposing the bus driver is disabled and genuinely cannot get the ramp out? Isn't that discrimination?? There are bus drivers out there who are disabled and would struggle to use manual ramps, so I think this video is out of order and should be removed. If I'd have been in that situation I'd have called the police!!
Re: Bus driver refuses to take ramp out.
Flipping heck the gap from the bus to the kerb was tiny by the looks of it And why didn`t her son help his mother off the bus anyway.
I think he is after publicity trying to make out all (non asain) bus drivers to be awkward and unhelpful
He also saying he is a disabled rights campaigner but he going about it the wrong way IMO.

Just flaged the video and left a comment, at the end of the video I can see a police car, this idiot should have gone the whole way and got the bus driver done for racism.
SAD PATHETIC WASTE OF SPACE.

Re: Bus driver refuses to take ramp out.
I beg your pardon DBS? The driver may have a back injury, very common in bus drivers, and putting the ramp out may cause them a hell of a lot of pain.

K1, I remember the disabled lobby in Leeds in about 1997, they were moaning about a lack of accessability on buses, they forced a bus to stop and then handcuffed themselves to the wipers..It was..get this, a Yorkshire Woollen District Dennis Dart SLF!!! Talk about shooting themselves in the foot.

Think you may have taken the comment out of context, I'm not talking about the Bus Driver I'm talking about the guy who thought it was within his rights to film the Bus Driver at his place of work!
Re: Bus driver refuses to take ramp out.
Any punter who films a driver and then youtubes it deserves to be jailed.
Re: Bus driver refuses to take ramp out.
Couldn't the guy who is filming take the ramp out himself. Maybe he should understand that other people may have problems too, instead of using this incident to express some hate for drivers that I think he has, since if it was a genuine issue he should have taken the details of the driver, bus and route and made an officail complaint to the company intead of spreading sh*t.

Re: Bus driver refuses to take ramp out.
What a arse he is, if he's with his mum then he should be helping her, does this mean when she crossing the road, he demands someone helps her. He should try taking a wheelchair on and off First Glasgow buses, especially the bendi's as most have automatic ramps and either the ramp doesn't work, the bus doesn't lower of both. However what I will say about the First bus drivers is most of them will lower or bring the ramp out even if I don’t ask. I'd love to have all buses lower and be that close and level with the pavement. I had a argument with a Arriva driver the other week as he stopped 4 feet away from the pavement and expected me to take my mum off and down onto the road and wasn't happy when I demanded he move in. In fact talking about Arriva most of their ramps have either been bolted down so the can get used or in the case of the ex-London dart the ramps have been removed(it was fold away ones like some taxis have).

London buses have the ramps fitted at the centre, and when converted to single door, they hardly ever fit a bookleaf type ramp on the entrance. Powered ramps are a waste of time as the sensors break on them, thus rendering them useless.

Perhaps it wasn't possible for him to pull in close to the kerb, which is often the case as a result of badly parked cars or poorly designed bus stop layouts. Just a thought.

Re: Bus driver refuses to take ramp out.
York council in their ultimate wisdom had a habit of putting bus stops by drop kerbs. Getting wheelchairs on or off there was an impossibility!

These ones have a storage bit for fold away ramps

I wouldn't have said it if he couldn't get into the stop, with a lot of the drivers in Paisley they stop in the middle of the road to stop rival companies getting past(that's all the companies including the big ones)

Just heard the driver involved in this incident has been sacked!
Hope the low life who shot this video is happy now!

Re: Bus driver refuses to take ramp out.
He should get his union to sue both parties , a total disgrace .
Re: Bus driver refuses to take ramp out.
Hopefully he will appeal the decision and get his job back
