Well I have heard route 4 in York is now in the hands of a batch of former Huddersfield Volvo B7RLE's, and not the infamous purple turds. I've heard they are being switched to park & ride work.

LOL. Probably the 05 plate sheds that they seem to be swapping lately with other places in return for 59 plates. What a deal. Laughing

Huddersfield's 09 plates are on their way to York, proving that Huddersfield doesn't deserve newer buses, as the routes make precisely sod all.

Kirklees & Calderdale are not good bus territories. Never have been, never will be

Huddersfield just constantly need to give the Eclipses a new front end from wrecking it. Razz

Someone I know is claiming that rigid Purple People Eaters are due to be turning up in York. Whether or not this is true remains to be seen!

Not sure if it was Leeds or York (Leeds I think), but one of the Eclipses is going there as a spare and being painted in full ftr livery too.

It'll be us next Twisted Evil

My poor old neck of the woods only gets hand-me-downs from elsewhere. Well we did get some new buses a while ago to put on the Park & Ride. But the newest in the normal service fleet are the 53 reg ALX400 bodied Volvo B7TLs. The rest of the fleet is made of of P, R, S and T reg vehicles.

I'm still amazed at how little miss Aitken picks up on these things like early and late runnings and takes considerable action about it, compared to down here where the sort of results they find in those reports are just like here on a good day. Nothing is ever bang on time, I don't think there's a single week that goes by where a bus doesn't break down or something happens and the run fails to operate or is severly delayed. And that's just my local route alone. If the area in general was looked at then VOSA would have a field day and both First Cymru and Veolia Transport Cymru would be banned from operating services or something...

Someone get her to come down to South Wales for a week on holiday, I'll pay for her accommodation.

Lothian who claim to be squeaky clean & are far from it deserved their colar felt. I think she doesnt accept the brown envelope stuffed full of cash like some VOSA heads in other parts of the country. (allegedly)
